World Lit: An unexamined life . . .

Plato’s Allegory of the Cave is a pretty bleak depiction of the world.  Some interpret that bleakness as a wake up call to notice the world around us and not settle for an imperfect, unexamined life.  The allegory is an invitation to be skeptical of everything and question what is true.

As Plato is often quoted:  “An unexamined life is not worth living.”
